Compensation levels for 2016-7
The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal rises from £78,335 to £78,962 as from 6 April 2016.
This year also saw the limit on a week’s pay used to calculate redundancy payments and the unfair dismissal basic award, among other things, increase from £475 to £479.
The minimum wage for a person aged 21 or above is currently £6.70 per hour rising to £6.95 per hour on 1 October 2016.
The rate of maternity, paternity and adoption pay rose to £139.58 in April 2016.
